Wfighter, One of the oldest Women’s Combat Sports News Site cranks it up with an all new staff of fighters and fight game enthusiasts.

(Free-Press-Release.com) August 28, 2010 -- Wfighter has been around since 2007 and was founded by fighters. It has always been known as a site that is written by fighters for fighters. New Site Administrator, Tami Carswell has stayed true to this standard by building up an all new staff of fighters and extreme fight fans to bring its readers the best in women’s combat news and fight news that appeals to both men and women.

Tami Carswell is an MMA Trainer, Boxing coach, Fight Manager, and is the first woman to be on The MMA Fight Council Writer’s Guild. Tami has this to say about the changes she’s brought to the site, “The vision I have for the site is for Wfighter to have the best content out there that highlights female combat artists from around the world, reports on the big shows and regional shows that feed into them, gives our readers a bird’s eye view of the best gyms out there, and generally provides a community space where fighters and gyms can list themselves for fighters and promoters to check out. We aim to support female fighters and provide them with the news that they want to read about. Like I do with my fighters, my goal is to uplift those going after their dreams and my intention is that the readers will use Wfighter to help achieve their own life goals.”

Some of the new features on Wfighter include live Play-By-Plays from Bellator, Strikeforce, WEC, UFC, as well as other regional shows.

Wfighter is also proud to be working with Hale Koa. “Hale Koa is creating designs that keep the female warrior in mind. There are so many companies out there that are logo driven, and the ones that focus on the female population are too pink, girly, or cartoonish. Hale Koa not only has sick designs in mind for women’s MMA clothing, but they also care about promoting and growing Women's MMA through sponsorships and promotional events. They really are a perfect fit for Wfighter because our goals are in alignment,” site administrator, Tami Carswell explains. Wfighter recently added a memorial page for Adrienne Simmons who recently died in the ring of an IKF tournament. “One of my writers was at the event and was behind the scenes to witness how it went down that night,” Tami remembers. “When he first told me what happened I didn’t want to write about it; it was hard to hear. I decided the best thing that we could do is to start a fund to raise money for Adrienne’s community. I want to thank everyone who donated money to the fund and who is doing their part to raise awareness for immediate care of fallen fighters. There were questionable practices at that event and they might have resulted in this tragic outcome.”

Wfighter has added a new VBlogs section and plans on bringing the world a video MMA Talk show in late October. One of the most recent video blog series brought Wfighter readers an inside look at one of the best MMA gyms in the world, American Top Team.
