With the King Edward Music release of "The Blues Got Soul" CD (Jean Shy & The Shy Guys) she was nominated for 2009 Blues Music Awards for "Soul Blues Female Artist Of The Year." The release of her CD "Blow Top Blues" (Jean Shy & Friends) was nominated in Feb 2011 for "Blues Album of the Year" by the Independent Music Awards.

The newest release is a cover version of the world renowned Song "What A Wonderful World" which was made famous by Louis Armstrong. It was recorded by Jean Shy & her long time Band "The Shy Guys," in a unique pop-reggae style in 1996, and added to the Germany release of the Jean Shy CD "Ready For Love," as one of the Bonus Tracks on the 3rd. Edition of the Album. Now re-mastered, the Track will be digitally released as a "Single" on January 24. 2012.

Tina Walker, Managing Director of the Los Angeles based Indie Label "King Edward Music," explains that the Song is released now to give people all over the World a message that is very much needed especially in today's time. With so much hardship going on everywhere, and so many struggles many are going through, it is easy to forget that in fact "It Is A Wonderful World."
