FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Los Angeles, California, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) November 17, 2010 -- Leading research is showing that omega is the fat our bodies need. It was a fad in the past to stay away from fat, but now we know that fat is a necessary nutrient. But getting the right kind of fat will make the difference between increasing health and destroying it.

It turns out omega 6 and omega 3 fatty acids are the fats our bodies crave. Omega 6 is not so hard for us to get because it is abundant in our favorite foods, grains. Omega 3 is where we are lacking and is made up of three components DHA, EPA, ALA.

Docosahexaenoic acid and eicosapentaenoic acid are found in fish oils and marine algae. Alpha-linolenic acid is found in seeds and nuts. Adding these three kinds of omega 3 fats to our diets can help us battle an array of diseases like Alzheimer’s Disease, ADHD, heart disease, arthritis, autoimmune disorders, brain injuries, and cancer.

How is it possible that a simple fat can combat so many ailments? The piece to the puzzle is inflammation. Omega 3’s are involved in the metabolism of every cell in our bodies. Without them we can cause big problems. Omega 3 benefits decreases the inflammation response in our bodies. Omega 6 encourages it. Our main problem is the lack of balance between omega 3 and 6. We need both, but get more of the 6. Our bodies function in a perpetual state of inflammation. The problem with that is that many ailments are now being linked to long term inflammation in the body. DHA, EPA, and ALA fight inflammation.

Let’s face it, our brains are fat. Our neurons are swimming in it. Without it our bodies begin to break down. As an example, MS is a condition where the insulation around the neurons begins to break down. The messages being sent on the neural net in the brain, short out when they hit an under-insulated spot. That insulation is fat, or the prettier name is myelin. But it is not just any fat; it is omega, good old DHA, EPA, and ALA. High doses of omega 3 have helped many people with serious brain injuries or diseases to bounce back in ways that were unexpected.
