Author and Creator of PivotPositive.com, Steph Robey Highlights The Incredible Urban Art Activist Who Crated The Smile Project
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) September 17, 2009 --
SAN PEDRO, Calif, - Steph Robey, author of PivotPositive.com, interviewed Bren Bataclan, fine artist who also creates urban art - residing in Boston, Massachusetts. Bren created the Smile Project, where he randomly places artwork in public spaces throughout Boston, and now the world. The colorfully painted smiling characters on canvas are free to those who agree to his offer: smile at random people throughout the day.
“We’re passionate about helping people change their lives,” said Steph Robey, “and while my blog is about marketing and mindset for entrepreneurs, I also interview people that are changing the world in their own unique way, like Bren with his urban art and his Smile Project. It has to be like finding Easters eggs on Easter morning when someone stumbles upon his painting on a park bench with the note: ‘Everything will be all right!’ This is a true act of compassion and ironically, his fine art business has blossomed. What goes around does comes around.”
“I really appreciate PivotPositive.com in that Steph has also taken a positive spin in business through her own unique talents,” said Bren Bataclan. “This all began when I was unemployed and desperate for work. I put together an urban art show of 54 paintings and sold 49 within 2 days. I decided to payback Boston by giving the paintings away and encouraging my fellow Bostonians to simply smile. I never realized it would turn into a full time job but the Smile Project was born and this is the best job I’ve ever had.”
