What size of digital picture frame should you buy?

They are manufactured by dozens of companies, and come in various sizes, ranging from 1" to 15" (or sometime even larger!), and come in all shapes and sizes (such as keyrings, clocks, or just regular rectangles!).

But how do you know which one is right for you? In particular, which size is the best?

Well to start off, there is no universal 'best' size of digital photo frame. However, there may be a best one for you, for the purpose you intend to use it for. See what I mean? First you need to work out where it's going to go.

If you're looking to add a digital picture frame to your work or home office, you should consider a 5 or 6 inch frame for their desk as anything larger might distract your clients or business associates (and most likely you, especially when you've got important work to do!). Lastly, if you want to carry around your pictures everywhere you go, then a digital photo keychain is for you. These generally have 1" screens, and can fit almost anywhere!

Brightness and contrast controls are important things to consider when buying a digital picture frame. Even if you know where you are going to put your digital picture frame, there will be days when the room is brighter or darker, because of natural light. As this happens you will need to adjust both brightness and contrast in order to show your pictures in the best light.

As a general rule, the larger the screen is, the finer the the brightness and contrast controls need to be.
