Windsor Larder calls upon Octepos to configure integrated EPOS system

Situated in the heart of Windsor, the delicatessen was taken over by the famous chef Antony Worrall Thompson and business associate David Wilby in 2008. From the very beginning, they decided to invest in an enhanced EPOS solution to help their business run efficiently. Unlike the majority of EPOS companies, Octepos’ in-house team built Windsor Larder a comprehensive solution including both hardware and bespoke software. The custom-tailored equipment consists of a touch screen Toshiba ST-A10 till with cash drawer, card reader, bar code scanner, printer and a scale link. As regards the software package, they configured specific retail applications, and more precisely the Stock Control, Accounts and Customer Loyalty modules.

The EPOS system helps Windsor Larder to market effectively; making the right discounts, promotions or targeted messages, building customer loyalty and increasing sales. Moreover, the back office management receives sales, operations and stock information. It helps them manage stock to take the right decision at the right time, and adjust prices and products promptly. “One of the key benefits of the software is how easy it is to customise to the needs of our business. We can make changes ourselves to the product and pricing menus; thereby helping to maintain a proactive response to market conditions and the requirements of our customers,” says Wilby.

Finally, Windsor Larder has joined Octepos EPOS Support services. It gives the deli support straight from the team who created their software and are equipped to immediately resolve any issues. Wilby affirms “We make small tweaks, and then when we are unsure how to do something more intricate within the system we call the Octepos Support Team. Support has been very good; whenever we have needed anything done it has been done straight away.”
