Winter Weather Advisory in Effect For Puget Sound As Snow Begins To Fall

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory through Monday evening for much of Western Washington.
The advisory is in effect for the Seattle area, the Olympic Mountains, north and central Cascades, the passes, the I-5 corridor from Olympia through Chehalis, Whatcom and Skagit counties and the Strait of Juan de Fuca.
The weather service said 2 to 4 inches of new snow is expected in the Cascades Sunday afternoon, and the mountains could get another 3 to 7 inches from Stevens Pass south on Monday.
