WNBA Star Ivory Latta Launches New Inspirational Clothing Line Aimed At Empowering Others To Be Great.

Atlanta, Georgia - March 4, 2013 - Inspiration can found from a variety of places, things or people. WNBA star Ivory Latta of the Washington Mystics is hoping that people will see her new inspirational clothing line, Ivory Latta Clothing, as a positive motivating factor in their lives. The University of North Carolina Lady Tarheels legend is no stranger to finding motivation to defeat the odds despite the overwhelming doubters and life obstacles she faced in her own life to become the successful person she is today. Although the talented point guard is a pro athlete and the several of the themes from the line have a sports undertone to them, she wants it to be known that her line is not only for athletes or sports fans. "My clothing line is aimed at providing empowerment, motivation and inspiration to people from all walks of life. I wanted to take all of the life lessons and principles which I have learned from sports and share them with the world to let them know that they too can aspire to be great." says Latta who credits living in Atlanta around so many successful people as a major factor that gave her the courage to start the line.

The line is comprised of several themes which Latta says epitomizes who she is as a person. First is "Y.S.I.G. - You Sleep I Grind" simply means that while while others are sleeping or being comfortable with where they are in their lives or careers, there people who refuse to sleep or remain satisfied with where they are so instead of sleeping they are grinding and working to be the best. Second is "You Can't Teach Heart" simply means that you can show someone a drill, teach them a class but at the end of the day you can't teach them to have the heart of a champion. They are either born with it or not. Last but not least is "His Pain My Motivation" which simply pays homage to her faith in God who Ivory credits as the guiding light in her life to be the person she is who cares about giving back to her community and those who are less fortunate than herself. "I've always been into fashion and what is stylish, but I didn't want my line to be just another vanity line which was just another form of self promotion. Instead, I wanted to come out with a line of hats, sweatshirts, t-shirts, socks and other gear that people could wear because it is stylish but also stands for something positive", says the McConnells, South Carolina native. The line is launching it's first run of limited edition products which will be on a first come, first serve basis and then the second phase of the launch will offer a series of other products which Latta is currently working on.
