World AIDS Day 2010 Marks Start of Launch of The FIRST Alive with Clive Top 20
Welcome visit Our WebSite:
http://alivewithclive.tv Since May of 2008, from the moment the idea first occurred to Clive Swersky, host and producer of Alive with Clive -- The TV Show That Inspires You To Multiply Your Magnificence! he has -- systematically, relentlessly, and with an unwavering fixity of purpose -- been putting in place the pieces necessary to launch the first compilation of 20 songs, known as The FIRST Alive with Clive Top 20, to begin to raise at least a billion dollars for people affected by HIV/AIDS in South Africa. Since then over 26,500 votes have been cast for musicians who've been interviewed on Alive with Clive to be in The Alive with Clive Top 20. Now, at last, to coincide with World AIDS Day on December 1, 2010, The FIRST Alive with Clive Top 20 is being made available for download at The Official Web site for Alive with Clive, www.alivewithclive.tv.
The launch of The FIRST Alive with Clive Top 20 follows closely on the heels of recent disturbing reports about the continuing devastating AIDS epidemic in South Africa. These recent reports update information conveyed in an article on msn in May of 2008 that was the catalyst for the creation of The Alive with Clive Top 20. Current statistics show that approximately 5.7 million of the country's nearly 50 million people are HIV positive, and researchers estimate South Africa will need to at least double spending by 2016, from around $2 billion in 2009, as doubts emerge over whether international donors can sustain contributions. The links to the msn article and another more recent article are available at http://alivewithclive.tv/1stawctop20.htm. The launch of The FIRST Alive with Clive Top 20 also represents an example of what Clive calls synergistic philanthrocapitalism, the exciting way to do business so that everybody wins, in action.
"By combining synergistic philanthrocapitalism with the tools, technologies and resources humankind has created and to which we now have access," says Clive, "funding can now be provided much faster to address the most pressing problems facing the world, and enhance the quality of life for millions of people in the world, without relying solely on governments and philanthropy."
Clive found inspiration for this endeavor from (RED) and an article by Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft, in the August 11, 2008, edition of TIME Magazine, in which Bill Gates said that "we need a more creative capitalism: an attempt to stretch the reach of market forces so that more companies can benefit from doing work that makes more people better off." As mentioned in a Blog post Clive published on June 7, 2010, at http://bit.ly/c7NnCh, he was also encouraged by a documentary called The Lazarus Effect, produced by (RED) and HBO, and directed by Lance Bangs, in which it was shown that people in Africa with HIV/AIDS who are at death's door can be restored to health within 40 days, and continue to enjoy good health thereafter, by taking two anti-retroviral pills that cost 40 cents a day for the rest of their lives.
From the proceeds of sales of each compilation of the 20 uplifting and inspiring songs in The FIRST Alive with Clive Top 20, ten dollars will be provided to people affected by HIV/AIDS in South Africa, where Clive was born, and $5 will be shared among the 20 musicians whose songs are in The FIRST Alive with Clive Top 20.
Clive believes that when people all over the world unite through such forums on the Internet as Facebook and Twitter to tackle the AIDS epidemic in South Africa, and are provided with measurable economic bonuses, rewards, incentives and discounts by major corporations, unprecedented results can be achieved on an accelerated basis. In the days ahead, he will therefore be approaching corporations with a national and international footprint to provide discounts collectively of up to $300 to each person who purchases The FIRST Alive with Clive Top 20 compilation of songs at a cost of less than $25.
Here is the list of the musicians and songs in The FIRST Alive with Clive Top 20, all of whom have been featured in separate Blog posts published by Clive on his Blog at http://cliveswersky.wordpress.com in recent days: 1.
