World Cup Soccer Fever Comes to Vancouver

(Free-Press-Release.com) June 26, 2010 -- Can’t get enough of World Cup Soccer? No worries! ACF Fiorentina, one of the top 5 teams in the Italian Serie A {Premier} Soccer League is bringing it to Vancouver, B.C.

The VANCOUVER YOUTH SOCCER FIORENTINA CAMP 2010 aims to introduce an international professional soccer experience to all levels of young Canadian boys and girls aged 8-16 year old - a taste of “Calcio”, from professional Italian coaches with ACF FIORENTINA. The camp will be held July 26 through July 30, 2010 and at the Burnaby Lake Sports Complex West, in Burnaby.

Under the guidance of professional coaches, this intensive camp will focus on the skills and strategy of soccer, including the technical aspects of kicking, passing, ball control, heading, ball protection, and marking.

In addition a professional coach clinic program will be offered for local coaches wanting to enhance their coaching skills.
The ACF Fiorentina soccer organization is not only interested in promoting high quality soccer in B.C. but hopes to identify and attract potential players to play with their Youth team in Italy as well.

ACF Fiorentina based in Florence, Tuscany is one of the top 5 professional soccer teams in the Italian Serie A {Premier} Soccer League and currently has two (2) players on the 2010 Italian National World Cup team: Fiorentina’s Alberto Gilardino is a first-string striker and Riccardo Montolivo is first-string midfielder.
