FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) February 24, 2010 --
The Nobel Peace Prize was established in 1901 to honor those individuals and organizations whose efforts foster and promote peace and thus improve the quality of life in the world community. Only a select few luminaries have received this most prestigious of accolades, most recently United States President Barack Obama.
Now, The World Peace & Freedom Institute is giving ordinary people like you the chance to be nominated for the 2011 Nobel Peace Prize.
“We at the World Peace & Freedom Institute feel there are hundreds of citizens and organizations around the world whose actions and achievements merit consideration for the Nobel Peace Prize,” said an Institute spokesman. “However, few people are aware that ordinary citizens can be considered for the world's most prestigious prize. We link people and organizations with nominators who give them the recognition they deserve.”
The Nobel Peace Prize has been awarded to 97 individuals and 20 organizations since 1901. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., The International Red Cross, Al Gore, Nelson Mandela, and The 14th Dalai Lama are among those whose efforts have earned this most prestigious of honors.
With every contribution, the World Peace & Freedom Institute will ensure a candidate receives consideration for the Nobel Peace Prize by providing a well-written and well-argued case on their behalf to the Nobel Committee by an accredited nominator. In addition, the nominee will receive a proclamation to certify they were indeed nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.
