Your Health Is In Danger
Our cells are threatened and become damaged by sunlight, radiation, toxins, endotoxins, negative thoughts and emotions, burns, chemicals, viruses, fungus, bacteria, and other irritants.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) January 12, 2012 --
What’s more cuts, scrapes, blows and other minor injuries cause damage to millions of cells. Even exercise and exertion can damage cells, causing tenderness or strain and muscle aches.
In fact, everything that causes poor health can ultimately be traced back to damaged or dysfunctional cells.
The presence of these reproducing damaged cells is what many scientists consider to be the basis of aging. Now imagine this. In a normal day there are some 300 billion new cells created by your body.
It only takes a tiny percentage of damaged cells to get missed in the normal detection and repair process to see how this contributes to aging. As we grow older, more and more damaged cells go undetected and produce groups of cells that cause our bodies and health to deteriorate.
Now back to creating health. One key to creating health is to make sure your cells have the raw materials they need to maintain a healthy chemical balance in their machines or mitochondria. This means eating a wide variety of live whole foods, minimally prepared and primarily of plant origin.
The mitochondria are the cells’ power plants. Their fuel is the nutrients from the food we eat and the oxygen from the air we breathe. With this fuel they produce adenosine triphosphate or ATP, the energy which keeps us alive. The extent to which our mitochondria are able to do this will be reflected by our energy levels, our moods and the diseases we have.
Redox Molecules
While making ATP, the mitochondria produce a balanced set of reactive molecules called reductants and oxidants, which in combination are called redox signaling molecules.
They were once thought to be just by-products with no apparent use. But in the last decade, scientists have discovered that the balanced reactions of these reactive redox signaling molecules are essential to cell function, cell protection, damage control communications, antioxidant activation and regulation of the immune system.
In fact redox signaling molecules are THE foundation of cellular health which is why understanding how these molecules work has been heralded as a breakthrough in cellular wellness. Although we know quite a bit about them, scientists are really just scratching the surface in understand how critical they are.
These oxidants and reductants are produced in equal amounts. In fact, the laws of conservation of charge, mass and energy dictate that every time an oxidant is made from a neutral solution, a reductant or combination of reductants must concurrently be made to counterbalance it.
The key relationship here is that there must be equal portions of oxidants and reductants in the interior or exterior of the cell. The nature of the reactions involving oxidants and reductants requires them to occur together; i.e., oxidation always occurs in conjunction with reduction.
Oxidation refers to the combination of an atom or molecule with oxygen, or the loss from it of hydrogen or of one or more electrons. Reduction, the opposite of oxidation, is the gain of one or more electrons by an atom or molecule.
What may surprise you is that scientists have also determined that production of these vital redox signaling molecules declines by as much as 90 percent by age 70. This means that if we want to maintain our health, we need to find an outside source of the molecules. But where?
Antioxidants
What’s more these redox signaling messengers are constantly being eliminated at the same rate they are produced by a variety of protective enzymes (which we call anti-oxidants) that are strategically placed inside and outside the cells.
They activate antioxidants that act as catalysts capable of facilitating the reverse chemical processes needed to ultimately “untie” and neutralize both the oxidants and the reductants. Antioxidants work in cycles and if they are to be utilized correctly they require both oxidants and reductants.
Think of an antioxidant as a black box. Reactive and potentially dangerous oxidants and reductants go into the box and harmless neutral sea-water molecules come out.
Disrupting The Balance
To understand how this redox balancing process helps the body heal itself let’s look at what happens when cells become damaged or defective as a result of all the attackers mentioned at the beginning of the article.
The normal homeostatic chemical balance inside the cell is disturbed. There is either a build-up or deficiency of the normal quantity of proteins, causing a shift from healthy metabolism.
Then the redox messenger production in the mitochondria becomes unbalanced, producing many more oxidants than reductants or vice versa. In other words, the damage will ultimately manifest itself as a build-up of oxidants or reductants, resulting in an excess of one or the other.
What’s more, it’s highly probable that this growing imbalance will at some point make the metabolism of sugars, the food of the mitochondria, less efficient, which means you will have less energy.
Oxidative Stress
When there is a build up of oxidants, including free radicals, in the cells or blood that are not balanced by reductants and cannot be effectively neutralized by antioxidants, oxidative stress occurs.
The oxidative stress in stressed or damaged cells causes the DNA to code for messengers to be sent to neighboring cells, advising them of the condition. Redox molecules are also used for these intercellular messages.
When cells become stressed or defective, the immune system is also activated and it sends up red flags to neighbouring healthy cells that they have been attacked and damage has occurred somewhere. This signal for help also causes the DNA to code for the “fix-it crew” and cytokine messengers are sent out to alert the immune system to take action.
The white blood cells use large amount of oxidants, along with strong demolition enzymes as their weapon of choice to kill harmful invading bacteria and viruses, get rid of foreign materials, or dissolve or kill damaged cells that cannot be repaired. It is at this stage that swelling and redness appear.
After about two hours, those cells that are fatally damaged start a programmed cell suicide cascade called apoptosis that will end up in the cell killing itself. If the damaged cell, such as those found in tumors, is not able to kill itself, then its neighboring healthy cells will send back “death domain” messengers as well as distress messengers to the immune system that will either cause the damaged or dysfunctional cell to die or to be attacked by the immune system.
Then after the invaders and fatally damaged cells have been destroyed by the enzymes and oxidants, the surrounding antioxidants stand guard while other enzymes clean up the mess, toxins and other hazards.
The level of redox messengers (oxidants) returns to its normal balanced state and the inflammatory cytokines are cleared when all the damaged and dead cells have been repaired or cleaned up.
Healthy balanced chemistry is then restored and the red flags are turned off. Restoration of this chemical balance turns off swelling and redness and stimulates normal neighbouring healthy cells to divide and multiply until the gap has been filled in with healthy new cells.
This is essentially the healing process.
Too Few Oxidants
We’ve talked about what happens when there are too many oxidants. Too few oxidants will remove the “red flags” and allow damaged, infected and malfunctioning cells (those that should be flagged and destroyed by the immune system) to thrive, divide and spread the damage. This imbalance can cause the immune system to attack healthy cells, inflame tissues and slow down the healing process or even result in conditions we call auto-immune disorders.
Redox Molecules In A Bottle
For over a decade the scientific community has been researching how to stabilize these redox signaling molecules in a laboratory in a correctly balanced.
It’s now happened—a scientific breakthrough. ASEA is the world’s first and only source of these stabilized redox signaling molecules outside the body—perfectly balanced alkaline pH, and non-toxic.
When attacked and overwhelmed you body will develop abnormalities in redox signaling. What’s more, besides disruption of your redox signals, scientists have also determined that production of these vital molecules declines by as much as 90 percent by age 70.
Empower your body at the cellular level to do what it knows how to do!
What’s more these molecules will increase the production of Glutathione, the body’s master anti-oxidant and super oxide dismutase (SOD) by 500% to strengthen your antioxidant defense system.
If you wonder why you lack energy, why your health is going downhill, why you’re aging, or why you’re not getting results from the antioxidants and other supplements you take, it probably means that your supply of redox signaling molecules is low.
Here’s the bottom line. When you have a redox signaling product that balances the cells your natural healing process kicks in.
ASEA will replenish your body’s supply of redox signaling molecules. This means you will have better athletic performance, have a stronger immune system and the greatest benefit—you will be healthy as you age.
So why not Power Up Your Cells with ASEA!
