Your Neighbor May Need Credit Help!
I came across a couple of interesting articles over the weekend pertaining to credit scores, and unemployment. Because the two topics go hand in hand, I wanted to break them down into their simplest form so that we can understand clearly what is going on in America from a grass roots perspective. The first article touched on the fact that some states have had more foreclosures than others in the wake of the financial crisis. Even though this fact isn’t hard to comprehend the author did mentioned that banks take this into consideration when consumers apply for any type of credit, the people that make these decisions are called underwriters. Let’s say that Florida has more foreclosures than New Jersey, well if we both applied for a loan and had the same credit score, same financial history, the person in New Jersey would more than likely get either approved for the loan, or a better interest rate. In other others words, depending on your financial history age, and career path, you may want to do your credit research on the state you reside in before considering setting up shop or planning a future. There are many different variables to consider with this topic, I’m not suggesting that you pack your bags and leave the state your living in because they may have bad credit as a whole, but be mindful that we are all in this together.
I briefly wanted to touch on the subject of unemployment, the rates of unemployment in America has been up across the board no matter were you go. Some states worst than others, but the averages are higher than normal. Some employers are now making it worst, only asking for applicants who have not been unemployed for a certain period of time 30, 60, 0r 90 days. These employers know they have the pick of litter so they make it even harder for someone who has been out f a job for 6 months to a year to be hired by placing these restrictions from the get go. I wanted to give the state of New Jersey Kudos for setting precedence and making this type of hiring practice illegal, I really believe that there are people in America that would like us to become a third world country or communist country, but this another topic that I would probably address when it’s a bit colder.
