The focus is to bring together the whole community in realizing the important role that youth can play in everyday society. Youth Day 2010 intends to galvanize the greater community and demonstrate the impact that youth can make in our world.

The program will take place on Saturday January 9, 2010, 11AM to 5PM, at the Main Branch New Haven Free Public Library, located at 133 Elm Street New Haven, Connecticut.

Event performers will include Hip Hop, R&B, Poetry, Spoken Word, and Rockband Competitions and Art Shows; plus various performances by Poets, Hip Hop and R&B artists, and motivational speakers from Trinidad, Miami, Houston, and New Haven.

Youth Day 2010 is the first event of its kind held in the Yale district of New Haven. Founder and President Sabir Abdussabur said, “Young Americans’ mentalities are molded by society to make them think that you have to be over 18 to make a change, Youth Day seeks to change this mentality.”

The Youth Revolution- TYR, is a youth self run division of CTRIBAT Institute For Social Development Inc.
