Mrs. America State Florida Pageant Finals were held. Jafra Cosmetics, International was an official sponsor. The event showcased 25 state contestants competing in the "Mrs. America" Pageant.

Mrs. America - State Florida Pageant Finals held in the Hard Rock Hotel. Showcased 25 contestants from around the State competing in similar format as the more Nationally recognized "Miss America" Pageants....all of the women are married; some with families. The all day event included personal interviews, as well as modeling of interview, swimsuit, and evening gown fashion.
Two local Treasure Coast Residents had a hand in the affair. Cheryl Carroll and Joy Nottage of Vero Beach, represented the International Cosmetics firm, JAFRA Cosmetics. JAFRA Cosmetics, International, an Official Sponsor of this years' Mrs. America' Pageants, also struck notoriety with last fall's academy awards in Hollywood as well...
Cheryl Carroll and Joy Nottage gave a seminar for the contestants, including reigning Mrs. Florida 2002, as well as presenting the JAFRA Mrs. Photogenic Award, and a Gift basket to the new state title holder valued at over $400. Also present for this day's events were the newly crowned Mrs. New Hampshire and Mrs. New Jersey 2003. This year's newly crowned 2003 Mrs. Florida is 30 year old Jennifer Miller from Altamonte Springs. She will represent the state for one year, and compete for the national Mrs. America title in Hawaii in September.
Local fashions by Patchington's of Vero Beach worn by Cheryl Carroll during this day long gala....Of a curious note: married name of Patchington's Store manager is Jennifer Miller.
