Child Suicide Announces Its New Fundraising Webshop
http://buy.at/supportshop is to be used to raise revenue for http://childsuicide.homestead.com, a supportive resource for families who have suffered the tragic loss of a child to suicide.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) June 18, 2003 --
A fundraising website now live at: http://buy.at/supportshop is to be used to raise revenue to maintain http://childsuicide.homestead.com, a supportive, non-profit resource for families who have suffered the tragic loss of a child to suicide.
Swindon-based charitable organisation, Child Suicide, now has a website that supporters, local residents and businesses can use to make everyday purchases and help raise funds for the cause.
The website is now being actively promoted by the site creator, Jan Andersen, who lost her 20-year-old son to suicide in November 2002.
The evidence from other communities already having similar buy.at webshops is that only a few regular purchases by members and supporters will generate significant revenue. The generous commissions (typically 2% to 8% of the purchase value) mean all purchases can make a real difference. It makes sense for everybody to try the site as there is no price difference to them, but it makes a real difference to Child Suicide and helps towards the cost of building and maintaining the site.
Steven Brown of Perfiliate Technologies, the providers of the free webshop explains, “The range of items includes CD’s, books, flights, hotels electrical goods; childrenswear, toys and presents; in fact all of the categories of most-popular Internet purchases.
“The retailers involved are household names such as Marks and Spencer, Amazon, RAC, CIS, Oddbins, Co-op, Blackwell’s, Comet and Lastminute.com company Travelselect.”
The proposition is so simple that anybody can help Child Suicide by using the shop with the web address http://buy.at/supportshop. Local businesses purchasing flights and office supplies can make a real difference whilst ensuring they are getting good value for their purchases.
