And that�s just what happened to first-time author Cara Shannon. In February 2003, while traveling in Australia with her two best friends, Shannon and one of her friends unexpectedly found themselves in a life or death battle. During a morning swim in the ocean, the two became trapped in a rip tide that swept them away from each other and into the fight of their lives. In those last few seconds in the ocean, Shannon felt herself in death�s grip -- the end was eminent. That�s when she found herself at the beginning.



Shannon�s brush with death incited her to put pen to the experience resulting in the emotionally captivating, Tell My Story Walking.



The novel chronicles one woman�s journey of self-discovery amidst deception, abuse and a search for answers. Some people find shells in the ocean; some people find messages in a bottle. But her journey led her to unearth the incredible power and strength of friendship.

A woman who she seemed to have it all -- a successful career, an incredible relationship with a wonderful man and a strong circle of friends � but was struggling to exist between two worlds, a world of success and security and a world of fear, loneliness and crushing sadness. A former college instructor and corporate trainer, Cara Shannon resides in northeast Ohio with her husband and three teenagers.
