Clocks go faster or slower over time, batteries and power sources go dead, or important time changes, such as daylight saving, can be forgotten. Getting the time wrong, by minutes, seconds or even fraction of seconds, results in critical problems. Imagine the havoc caused by errors when automated tasks go haywire between different systems with time conflicts; discrepancies in records when transaction times fail to tally due to time differences, and financial accounting errors and database errors due to mismatched timestamps. Administrators can of course manually check the time on internal system clocks, but this is a difficult task, especially when multiple systems are involved, and still leaves much room for error.

Softros System, Inc.�s Network Time System provides the solution to system time maintenance problems. This powerful client/server time system lets users set up a virtually failsafe synchronized time environment for networks of any size and complexity, from small office networks to huge enterprise networks. It does this by simultaneously checking up to 3 external time sources to verify the accuracy of the network time. External time sources can include Internet time servers or even reliable local time sources such as GPS or clock cards. The verified time is then synchronized across all client machines across the network through the enterprise network time server.



With Network Time System, users can have full confidence in the accuracy of their system times, as well as any records or processes where precise, accurate system times play an important role.
