COLLEGE STATION, TX, July 28, 2003 - On Monday, the Texas Agricultural Experiment Station (TAES) of Texas A&M University and FOODHORIZON issued a joint Memorandum of Understanding outlining a new working relationship whereby FOODHORIZON will provide its flagship product, SENTRY9000™, to the Texas A&M Electron Beam Research Facility to augment research in the areas of food safety, food borne human pathogens, food quality, packaging and formulation.
TAES will benefit from the added capability SENTRY9000™ will add to its research efforts as well as exposure for its faculty, staff, and students. FOODHORIZON will gain significantly by having this globally recognized research center provide recurring feedback on its SENTRY9000™ product as well as having the opportunity to collaborate with its members on publication of findings in the arena of food safety.
The Texas Agricultural Experiment Station (TAES) of Texas A&M University is represented by The Institute of Food Science and Engineering (IFSE), a nationally renowned center that brings together more than 140 faculty from multiple academic disciplines to solve complex problems in the food industry and provides conduit to teaching, research, and public service activities.
