July 29, 2003 (Press Release) --
Monday, 28 July 2003, London – Logic Systems Management Limited (LSM), sponsors of the TrailWalker UK ‘Over the Hill’ Team, announced the team’s successful completion of the 100km long distance charity run.
Mr William Burge, Project Manager, LSM Group, Oliver Waugh, Director, Debit Capital Markets, HSBC, Oliver Sedgwick, Manager, Debit Capital Markets, HSBC and Richard Montague, HSBC Paris, competed in atrocious weather against 253 other teams to complete the gruelling 100km run.
In order to complete the run successfully the four team members had to start together, stay together and cross the finishing line together – a team ethos that LSM fully endorses.
Commenting on the team’s amazing achievement, Peter Allan, Chief Executive Officer of LSM said, “Bill and his team mates have performed remarkably well in an event that is claimed to be the equivalent to completing two-and-a-half marathons non-stop, and climbing Ben Nevis. LSM is proud of the dedication, determination and exceptional stamina that the team displayed. They have clearly demonstrated the value of team work which is a lesson to us all in the business world.”
Mr Allan added, “It is also a pleasure for LSM to be able to support such worthy causes as Oxfam and the Gurkha Welfare Trust. The hardship endured by the individuals these charities support will last many times longer than the exhausting experiences of those who ran the TrailWalker race.”
