August 4, 2003 (Press Release) --
TARZANA, CA, August 4, 2003 – 2BAW Entertainment announces that their next seminar will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2003 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, New Orleans, Louisiana. The seminar begins at 2 p.m. and ends at 8 p.m.
This year's theme is How Can I Be Down. 2BAW Entertainment Music Industry Seminars are designed to create a forum for unsigned artists to interact with major record label executives. Most unsigned artists, without this type of seminar, could never hope to shop their demo with these decision-making professionals. "Based on comments from artists throughout the United States, we realized musicians, artists and band members had an interest in learning about all aspects of the music business in addition to having the opportunity to have their demos heard by major and independent record label A&R executives," said Marina Hall, seminar committee chair. "In response to those suggestions, we felt that a seminar focused primarily on getting record deals for unsigned artists was overdue," said Hall.
The panel includes prominent music business professionals. A few of the executives scheduled to appear are: Efactor (Bungalo/Universal Records), Travis Baird (Beverly Hills, CA Entertainment Attorney), Bryan Farrish (Farrish Radio Promotions), Maani Edwards (Universal Publishing), James Leach (SESAC). Some of the record labels artists will have the opportunity to shop their demo to include: Epic, Warner Chappell, Def Jam, Columbia Records, Jive Records, Bad Boy Records, Hidden Beach, Elektra, Interscope, A&M Records, Bungalo Records, Priority Records and many, many others. A&R Executives are looking for R&B, Urban, Pop, Metal, Hip-Hop, Rap, Rock, Gospel, Jazz & Country, artists, songwriters, musicians, composers and producers.
The seminar will be held at Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, New Orleans, Louisiana. The registration fee of $150 includes seminar materials, panel discussion, and an opportunity to shop your demo to A&R record label executives. The A&R executives will have CD players to listen to unsigned artist CDs on the spot. To register, go to www.2bawentertainment.com, call the seminar hotline at
