August 27, 2003 (Press Release) --
VENICE, FL (August 1, 2003) - MPH System Specialties, Inc. is pleased to announce that their new weapons cleaner, lubricant, preservative (CLP), Strike-Hold™, is a huge success with US Army troops! Soldiers using Strike-Hold™ report it is doing the job that all of the other cleaner and lubricant products have failed at; it cleans, lubricates, and protects/preserves, while actually repelling the sand, dirt and dust that has been the major cause of weapons malfunctions in Iraq and surrounding areas where our troops are currently active. Due to overwhelming response, Strike-Hold™ is now available on the DoD (Department of Defense) E-Mall, and a GSA contract is in the works as well.
A Special Forces Group A-Team member says of Strike-Hold™, “ It has proven to be a great lube and a great cleaner whenever we get these nasty sandstorms. Most of the time when I disassemble my .50 cal after a sandstorm its full of sand, but I just spray and it knocks it out. I just let it drain out and wipe it down. The gun is good as new.”
82nd Airborne and 101st Air Assault Division Commanders and troopers also support use of Strike-Hold.
In an e-mail to MPH from the Regimental Commander of 504th PIR, 82nd Airborne Division, he states, “Strike-Hold is working miracles for us and think we've invented a 100 more uses for it. All rave about it.”
“…other units now want to order Strike Hold! Your product is working great over here in these conditions - lots of wind storms.” commented Colonel Joe Anderson, Brigade Commander, 101st Airborne Division.
A 1st Lieutenant from the 82nd Airborne Division, IN 1st BDE AS4 sums the troops reaction to Strike-Hold™ up as follows: “…Basically this product has been tested by numerous units on post and in the Army. It has been tested against various other cleaning products past and present and nothing else measures up or cleans and protects to the same level.”
In his article “Wrong Lubricant, Jammed Weapons, Dead Soldiers”, editor of “DefenseWatch” magazine (published by Soldiers For the Truth, headed by retired Colonel David Hackworth), Ed Offley wonders “How many more US Army soldiers are going to have to die before the service takes action to ensure that it stops issuing dangerously ineffective weapon lubricants?” It seems the Army has taken action…and quickly. Due to the recent concern and debate regarding weapons lubricants, The Army’s Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command has begun the process of conducting a study on commercial lubricants. Strike-Hold™ has been identified as a potential candidate and invited to participate. MPH is in full support of this study, and Strike-Hold™ is poised and ready to come out on top.
Strike-Hold™ is most definitely the “Right Lubricant” and MPH System Specialties, Inc. fully intends to continue to help in their own way, by supplying a product that significantly reduces weapons malfunctions and as a result saves lives.
