September 9, 2003 (Press Release) --
San Cristobal International (SCI), the world’s leader in developing Tropical Working Farms (TWFs), announces the expansion of its Riverwest Plantation division. In order to meet client demand, Riverwest is opening broker offices in China, Canada and Europe. These offices provide investors with options to receive long- and short-term cash returns, and Panamanian residency through reforestation of Emerging Growth Real Estate.
SCI creates and facilitates Foreign Direct Investment programs in Panama in the areas of reforestation of tropical hardwoods and the growth and exportation of cash harvests from in-demand medicinal plants. In the past year, SCI has sold over 40 privately-owned TWFs valued at a cumulative US$3,000,000 in the regions of Bocas del Toro and Palmira, Panama.
Riverwest is SCI’s new shared-interest plantation concept, in which investors purchase an ownership unit consisting of a four-acre parcel of beachfront land for $56,000. In return, investors receive 1,500 medicinal plants and 500 tropical hardwoods, along with a prime piece of Caribbean, beachfront land that is situated in a region currently designated for tourism development. Riverwest also provides a Panamanian residency program regulated by Panama’s Reforestation Law No. 24, which provides unrestricted living in, and traveling to, Panama, among other benefits. The first, 200-acre, Riverwest Plantation in Palmira has been sold and is now under development. The plantation is scheduled to produce harvest income in year 2005.
Riverwest will be marketed for a limited time through the three-office network and through SCI’s 300+ Brokers already located in 15 countries. Investors will benefit from a turnkey land management solution through San Cristobal Land Management’s (SCLM) association with Geo Forestal, one of Panama’s largest and most respected reforestation management companies. “SCLD is a pioneer in Panamanian reforestation due to their model of combining cash crops with reforestation to generate short- and long-term cash flow. We see our collaboration as a win-win partnership for everyone involved, including the country of Panama,” says Jacobo Melamed of Geo Forestal.
