Claudette Walker, Author

Author of the Fiction Novel

To Love The Rose (Is Washington Stoned?)

Synopsis

To many graying, successful baby boomers, this novel is a walk down memory lane. For the rest it answers two questions. The first is, "what was really going on during this time in recent history?" The second question is, "what did I miss?" Generations X and Y can find parallels to their own past and may be surprised that such times pre?existed their own. The book bridges the generation gap. It is the story of Jacqueline, and her flower child's journey into womanhood, from the drug-filled shore of San Francisco's Haight Ashbury to the world of the power elite in Washington, DC. Her path takes Jacqueline into a world of intrigue and power that could cost her life. The twists and turns of her life span different worlds, with chance meetings that change her fate. Such a chance meeting has brought you the reader to view and judge the journey. This is a novel of fiction, for your pleasure.
