Untitled Black Dahlia movie in the works

(Free-Press-Release.com) September 29, 2003 -- "?" is picking up steam... This Tuesday, there's this trade magazine that a few of you may have heard of entitled, THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER... Pick it up ON ANY Tuesday, the weekly edition of THR... and look for something that says "Untitled Black Dahlia" in the "in preparation" section of the "Production Listings" section... The first listing was last week, but it will in the Reporter for a long time to come... Principal Photography commences in late March 2004.

*We don't want to give away the plethora of amazing icons and legends who will be appearing or contributing to this, but it is a known fact that David J (from Love And Rockets, Bauhaus fame) is scoring it, along with two more musical gurus, John Neff ("Mulholland Drive", BlueBob), who has been rocking and rolling for years and years AND composer, Gerard Marino, who will add music and orchestration to some of the themes... We've already recorded the title track/song for the film, which David J composed, produced, and performed, along with members of The Centimeters, including lead singer, Nora Keyes, who sang the title track. John Neff engineered and co-produced the track. It sounds AMAZING! Also confirmed is DP, Neal L. Fredericks ("The Blair Witch Project", "Killer Me", and "The Stonecutter"). The lovely and talented ingenue, Kristen Kerr will be playing the lead role in the film, and we are looking at Fairuza Balk to possibly play a significant supporting role or important cameo in the film too. We are also looking at Crispin Glover for the male lead, but have confirmed other actors, including the legendary and unmistakeable Julie Strain who will be in the film too, her sister, Lizzy Strain, experimental filmmaker/personality/philosopher, Caveh Zahedi ("Waking Life", "In The Bathtub Of The World"), legendary cult directors, Werner Herzog (Werner will be playing a big part in the film) and in a small part, Alejandro Jodorowsky, B-movie auteur, Lloyd Kaufman, LA performer, Count Smokula, and a whole host of guest actors and cameos... Modern-day pin up queen, Masuimi Max will also been in the film. Underground painter and founder of Juxtapoz Magazine (and one of the founders of Zap Comics), Robert Williams will be appearing in the film, as well as the aformentioned cameos from underground film legends like Richard Rush ("The Stunt Man"), Lloyd Kaufman and Alejandro Jodorowsky ("Santa Sangre")... In addition, musical artists, Rebekah Del Rio ("Mulholland Drive"), Johnny Dowd, Nora Keyes (The Centimeters), Elektracity, Ego Plum And The Ebola Music Orchestra ( www.ebolamusic.com ) and many others... are all already writing and recording new music for the film being supervised or actually composed by David J...
