Providence, RI October 13, 2003 -- Emergent Logic announced today the release of the Superx++ Markup Engine 1.0 (SuperxME), a powerful XML/web services platform. SuperxME provides businesses with an enterprise-class solution aimed at enabling the creation of web services without unnecessary complexity while dramatically reducing network traffic. Reducing the network traffic problems increases the number of revenue generating transactions enterprise systems can process: a big win for companies using SuperxME.
"If you have more bandwidth consumption, it means you can only fit less revenue generating transactions per unit time through the network. Lowering bandwidth is therefore vital for any successful IT business today," said Mr. Kimanzi Mati, President and CEO of Emergent Logic LLC. "The irony is that many XML protocols, even the web services standards, do nothing to reduce bandwidth consumption. SuperxME, using Courier Messaging, is an XML solution to the web services network traffic problem that cuts through the complexity in enterprise computing today, reducing costs and increasing the revenue generating potential of company networks."
SuperxME is a cost-effective solution for companies aiming at benefiting from web services. SuperxME works with the Superx++ language for full XML support "from the ground up". Superx++, an open source XML-based object oriented programming language, enables companies to produce high-quality software with reduced time-to-market and significant cost savings. Companies can use the full features of the Superx++ language to construct Courier Messages which ensure that the business rules that define a transaction are included in a single request. This request includes all the web service methods that are to be invoked and the logic that needs to be performed on the results. This one-to-one mapping between the business concept of the transaction and the technical implementation of the Courier Message makes the software easier to design, create and maintain.
SuperxME also offers multi-language support, thereby enabling companies to transform existing applications into web services.
Pricing and Availability
SuperxME is available immediately. SuperxME comes with 2 commercial licenses. There is no difference in the software delivered under the 2 licenses, except that the Developer Edition, at a cost of $250 per server is restricted to 5 or fewer connections. The Standard Edition, at a cost of $1250 per server can be used with unlimited connections.
