October 29, 2003 (Press Release) --
the vast amounts of data produced by high-throughput genome-wide studies ensure fast progress in bioresearch. a crucial aspect in knowledge acquisition from experiments is the juxtaposition of results and their biological context. this in-depth analysis of high-throuput experimental results has proven a bottle-neck in research and development. in order to facilitate such analyses, metalife has developed the array analyzer - an application specialized in generalization of information produced by microarray experiments.
submitted sets of nucleic acid sequence IDs are clustered according to the biological function of the products they code for. subclusters are depicted in a hierarchical manner representing a view on the whole dataset at a glance and offering the user to interactively explore clusters of interest. detailed information about each sequence and its product is available through automatically generated relations between nucleic acid sequence and both UniGene cluster and metalife protein records providing complete informaion dossiers on the objects.
metalife array analyzer is fully integrated in metalife framework, as it is hyperlinked to metalife bio explorer, metalife finder, as well as metalife protein and genome viewers.
