Margate, FL – November 1, 2003 – Roland Powell wrapped up the first leg of the Hit-N-Run tour promoting his red hot DVD, Dat Boy Funny. Dat Boy Funny, Roland Powell’s debut DVD, is creating a strong buzz on the streets. While on tour, Roland performed to standing ovations for crowds in Memphis, TN, Ft. Valley, GA and Atlanta, GA. He even took time out to get on stage with Lil Jon and the Eastside Boys in front of a sold-out audience during a rap concert in Tallahassee, FL as part of the Florida A & M University homecoming festivities. Roland Powell’s blend of hip-hop and street comedy is quickly becoming the new standard for comedy, similar to the effect of Def Jam had on comedy in the mid 90’s.
Dat Boy Funny, starring Roland Powell, is currently available in limited release in many markets. The official street date, nationwide is January 20, 2004. This hilarious blend of stand up and sketch comedy is guaranteed to be the breakout hit of 2004.
