TALL magazine updates www.tallmagazine.com with online personals and more
TALL magazine's online portal, www.tallmagazine.com, has been updated to better reflect the needs of the tall community.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) November 2, 2003 --
November 1, 2003
TALL magazine, www.tallmagazine.com, has revamped its whole web site in favor of creating a more community-friendly experience that will extend and expand upon the magazine's mission of giving voice to the tall community.
Everard Strong, TALL magazine's 6'9" publisher, has announced the introduction of an online community lounge as part of www.tallmagazine.com. Though it will be an ever-growing project (pun intended), the virtual lounge will give visitors a chance to find love (via the personals), tall-related merchandise and services (via the online marketplace), or to find advice or answers to questions they mey have (via the discussion boards and chat rooms).
"We have heard from our readers and others in the community," said Everard, "and many of them want online personals -- or just a place to meet others -- that would cater exclusively to them.
"Right now the personals and marketplace features are in very rough beta format, and to acknowledge that, we are offering free membership to all who want to come and poke around. We alsoe encourage these people to let us know, via e-mail at editor@tallmagazine.com, what they would like to see or what needs to be taken away."
The plan, according to Everard, is to create a separate personals site, but he is waiting for the beta testing before he puts finishing touches on it.
TALL magazine is a bi-monthly general lifestyle entertainment publication aimed at the almost 20 million tall American men and women. Its January 2004 issue will feature an exclusive issue with the women of the Eroica Trio (one is
6', the other is 5'1", and the other is 5'7" -- two out of three), an interview with Who's Line is it Anyway's Brad Sherwood (6'4"), 7'2" actor Richard Kiel, some cool fitness routines, fashion finds, and some more surprises.
Everard Strong is available at editor@tallmagazine.com for any questions you might have.
