New WebCT PowerLink and Blackboard Building Block in Association with ICDC and Sentient Learning
Sentient DISCOVER will be incorporating a WebCT PowerLink and Blackboard Building Block in association with ICDC. This will generate greater functionality across the Sentient DISCOVER application.

Sentient Learning is very pleased to announce that they will be working in partnership with the International Centre for Digital Content (ICDC). Sentient Learning delivers innovative e-learning solutions to the educational sector. Our flagship product, Sentient DISCOVER is the UKs leading learning resource management system.
ICDC is at the forefront of digital content development. Part of Liverpool John Moores University, it aims to empower organisations using digital technology, enabling them to create groundbreaking, innovative content. ICDC works with the worlds leading names in new media and digital technology on a programme of education, research and business support initiatives
With the exceptional interest from universities and colleges, Sentient Learning is now working in partnership with the International Centre for Digital Content (ICDC) to deliver Sentient DISCOVER V2.0 in January 2004. The International Centre for Digital Content is investing development resource to create a WebCT PowerLink and a Blackboard Building Block for the release of Sentient DISCOVER V2.0.
The Sentient DISCOVER V2.0 WebCT PowerLink and Blackboard Building Block will enable course designers to add all library managed learning resources directly into their WebCT course. Sentient DISCOVER enhances resource discovery for academics, manages the links to learning resources, whilst providing the library with invaluable management information concerning the projected utilisation of resources.
Acting as a system integrator, Sentient DISCOVER links disparate systems such as learning management systems, integrated library systems, OpenURL resolvers and other content repositories, such as online journal databases.
