Prima Poker Tour’s Lucky 7th Stop Victory
Mobsters Barny Boatman & Ram Vaswani were the poker stars on home ground in the Luton Christmas Cracker last week with Ram’s Double Win and Barny’s 1st place trophy.
Curacao, December 19, 2003 – It’s going to be a very Merry Christmas for the Prima Poker.com sponsored Hendon Mob after winning three Christmas Cracker tournaments one after the other, including 1st place in the Main Event last week in Luton, England.
Prima Poker’s logo must be a lucky emblem for Ram Vaswani. Since starting the Tour, poker pro Ram has gone from strength to strength and last week won two tournaments back to back, made the Seven-Card Stud final, and finished in the money in the Main Event collecting an outstanding two trophies, and an impressive £27,710 in prize money. “Ram didn’t miss the last two tables all week, but it was Ross and I who started the second day of the big one with good chips and high hopes,” commented Barny Boatman.
For Barny Boatman it was another great festival taking 1st place in the £500 No Limit Hold’em Main Event and finishing in the money in the £150 Pot Limit Hold’em; taking home one trophy and a cool £17,940 in prize money. The 7th stop of the Tour proved to be a lucky one as Ross Boatman, known to Britain as a popular TV actor, also made a great showing with a third place finish in the main event.
“It was really sweet to follow up my win in Helsinki with a victory on my home turf. Most of the top UK players took part in what was a tough two-day main event. I'm right on top of my game at the moment and playing for Prima Poker obviously suits me. I'd like to thank Prima Poker for their support and confidence in The Mob. Long may it continue!” continued Barny.
Prima Poker has high hopes of big money finishes on the next stop of the Tour – its grand finale - The Australasian Poker Championship 2004 in Melbourne, Australia, January 3-17.
