A flurry of New Year’s resolutions has pushed the number of goals recorded on goal setting site My50.co.uk past the 10 000 mark. In the week leading up to New Year, a 20% increase in the number of registered users contributed to the landmark figure, with women seemingly leading the way when it comes to goal setting, making up 70% of the users registered on the site during this period.
“The increase in the number of users and goals being set goes to show that New Year’s resolutions are alive and well, and it appears to be women who are actively doing something about them by recording them online, and setting deadlines for achieving them.” commented Christopher Dunst, co-founder of the site.
My50.co.uk is a free site that allows users to record their goals, ambitions and New Year’s resolutions online. Users can create a list of the goals they wish to achieve, add descriptions and pictures of their goals, as well as set deadlines for achieving them. Visitors can read other people’s lists and goals, but only if that list has been made ‘public’ by the owner of that list.
