January 14, 2004 (Press Release) --
And that’s not all… 2004 is a year for home automation, and we are eager to get started.
Last weekend, our software team attended the world’s largest Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. Bill Gates spoke and exhibitors shared 1.38 Million square feet of space!
With all that technology, you can only imagine how much smarter our appliances and homes will become. More homeowners now demand access to content and home control features anywhere and at any time.
As a leader in supporting these demands, we are committed to providing you the latest in Home Automation Technology. So, we too made some New Year’s Resolutions, and we wanted to share them with you:
• Provide Support for the Ocelot Automation Hardware – This will allow our customers the ability to control/detect digital and analog outputs/inputs, Infrared Inputs, and any of the modules supported with the Ocelot hardware.
• Support for the new Z-Wave protocol – this latest technology allows modules to communicate with each other to form a "mesh" network to ensure that signals are reliably transmitted. Each device can act as a signal "repeater" so that each command gets to its intended recipient.
• MP3 Control - Create and edit play lists, manage libraries and much more!
