January 23, 2004 (Press Release) --
Cards and Crafts - the small handmade greetings cards company - is to take up a stall in London's Covent Garden, on a casual basis, from 4th February 2004.
The company, which has been trading online for almost a year, makes high quality, handmade greetings cards, gift tags and bespoke wedding stationery. A custom card design service and a calligraphy service are also available. All products and services will be available at the market.
Jill Laker, who owns the company, designs and makes all Cards and Crafts products herself and believes that the recent increase in popularity of all things handmade means that this is the ideal time to take her business a step further. "People are really starting to appreciate the individuality of handmade goods," says Jill, "With so many mass-produced cards on the market, it's nice to give - and receive - a handmade card, something a bit different."
Jill relishes the challenge of being a Covent Garden stall holder. "It's great having an online card shop as your potential customer base is huge," she says, "but It'll be a nice change to be out there, meeting the customers. It's a real privilege too, as Covent Garden Market is a renowned showcase for crafts. I was delighted to be accepted by their committee."
Jill intends to hold a stall at the market on a weekly basis. Further information is available on the Cards and Crafts website at http://www.cardsandcrafts.co.uk
