(Free-Press-Release.com) January 23, 2004 -- According to e-MasterTrade analytical forecast on Friday, January 23, 2004 S&P 500 will vary 1132,89-1155,21 and close at 1136,92-1151,00.



Electronic Arts, Inc. (ERTS) quotation will vary 46.91-49.79 and close at 47.49-49.57.



Stocks closed lower on Thursday, January 22, 2004.

The blue chips Dow Jones industrial average went down 0.44 points to close at 10,623.18. The broader Standard & Poor's 500 Index declined 3.68 (0.32%) to 1,143.94. The technology laced Nasdaq composite index fell 23.44 (1.09%) to 2,119.01.



Volume was heavy, with about 1.7 billion shares changed hands on the New York Stock Exchange, and about 2.3 billion shares traded on the Nasdaq.



Bonds grew up, the 10-year note yield falling to 3.97% from 4.03%.

"Investors are moving from tech and some Nasdaq issues that look like they may have gotten ahead of themselves in the short run, and into larger-cap financial and cyclical names," said Robert Mikkelsen, senior managing director of equity capital markets at The Advest Group. "But it seems like an orderly rotation rather than a big overall correction, which is healthier and shows the strength of this market."



The most active companies were Intel Corp (-0.57), SIRI (+0.25), Microsoft (-0.29), Sun Microsystems (-0.14), JDSU (-0.43), Lucent tech (-0.37), AWE (-0.43), AMR (+2.30), Nortel networks (-0.49).



Eastman Kodak (EK), +$3.49 to $30.95, plans to cut its work force by as much as 21% by the end of 2006, cutting as many as 15,000 jobs, and take charges of $1.3 billion to $1.7 billion.
