Jan 24 Hershey PA, Pennsylvania State Showmen’s Association members use the Foodservice Operators TAP Series Food Safety Certification Training Program to meet the state of Pennsylvania’s Certified Food Handlers Training requirements. The Showmen’s Association contracted with Restaurant Workshop, Inc. (RWI) and proctor Barbara Gray of Food Safety Education and Consulting Service for the second year in a row to provide the Training Programs, and to proctor the exams during the 2004 PSACF/PSSA Convention (Jan. 21-24) held in Hershey Pennsylvania.
Pennsylvania requires all foodservice operations to have one supervisory personnel become a certified food handler by July 1, 2004.
To guarantee that all of its members meet the states requirements by the deadline the Showmen’s Association has once again asked Barbara Gray and Restaurant Workshop, Inc. to provide their services at their 2004 PSACF/PSSA Convention. Beverly Gruber Executive Secretary of the Showmen’s Association was pleased by all the favorable comments made by those who participated in last years training.
In November of 2003 the Pennsylvania Campground Owners Association also used the services of RWI and Gray to train and proctor their members. All who participated passed the course with an average score of 95% and successfully completed the certification exam.
The TAP Series Food Safety Manager Certification Training Program is the only one in the industry offering the Pass Assurance Program. If a student completes the 4 requirements and does not pass one of the nationally recognized food safety certification exams, TAP Series and RWI will allow the student to re-take the training for free.
