Innovasys release PopupAlert V2.0
Unique Messenger / Office 2003 Style alert windows
Torquay, Devon, UK (January 23 2004) – Innovasys today announced the release of PopupAlert V2.0. PopupAlert Objects allow you to display popup alerts similar to those used in Microsoft® Windows Messenger and Office 2003, using a variety of different styles. Full control over background style, background image, logo, colors, mouse cursor and timeouts.
The main additional new feature is Office 2003 style alerts. Alerts can be dragged and the Office 2003 style close / option button support is available for both Popup styles. Also included in this major release is using the Left/PopupLeft and Top/PopupTop properties, you can position alerts anywhere on screen. For the Office 2003 styled alerts, if the RememberPosition property is set, then the alert will keep track of the position if dragged by the user.
In addition to the main Office 2003 style alerts there have been included into V2.0:
- AlertBox control. This new control allows you to display alerts in the user interface of your application, with full event support and most of the properties of the popup alerts.
- You can now customize the borders of the alert using the new BorderStyle property.
- Underline hot tracking events can now be disabled via the HotEffects property.
- The color of hot text can be changed using the HotColor property.
- The position of the text and action link text can be positioned in nine different regions in the same manner as logo and background pictures using the new TextAlignment and ActionLinkTextAlignment properties.
- The alignment of the text can now be set via the Alignment property.
- The HitTest method can be used to determine what region lies under the specified co-ordinates.
