FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) February 23, 2004 --
SCS Consulting Services announced today that it was preparing for the official release of the Police Assistance Data Collection Systems or PADS for short.
Using the PADS system, Police departments of all sizes will be able to empower their officers by allowing them to access a variety of records directly from the field using small handheld devices including cell phones and PDA’s over a city or county wide wireless network. Officers will eventually be able to file reports from the field using the PADS system but that is in the works for a future release.
“We’re really excited about the opportunity this offers the departments” said SCS CEO Anthony Saffer, “This will particularly benefit smaller departments who have virtually no technology infrastructure as it will serve as a drop-in system for automation of records searches and save money.”
The software is currently being tested by several cities and the company is accepting orders from any municipality or county for the official release date of March 1, 2004.
