March 2, 2004 (Press Release) --
San Francisco, C.A. -- Mar. 2, 2004 -- PoliticalForum.com, a web site featuring 63 message boards for discussion and debate, officially launches today.
Political Forum aims to cover all topics in politics. Categories include news, campaigns / elections, political issues, international politics, humor, political science, and more.
Users can subscribe to e-mail digests, delivered weekly or daily, for their favorite categories, or select only specific topics for notification.
All users may start their own poll, vote, or view poll results. Polling features will certainly be put to great use, considering the site's subject matter.
Bill Fowler, the site's webmaster, registered the domain name over 5 years ago. He has spent hundreds of hours on development, not even counting the two false starts. Fowler works for an internet company, but Political Forum is his first web site.
After years of dormancy, Political Forum finally opened its doors to the public on Thursday, for a 5-day beta testing period. Now, Fowler faces a greater challenge: getting traffic to the site.
"My goal is to create a great community for the users. I don't expect to make profit," Fowler says. Jokingly, he added "It'd be amazing to move into the black, even if the profit was 2 cents."
The fledgling forum is seeking volunteer moderators.
Readers can be among the first to view and participate at: http://www.PoliticalForum.com/
