Growing up in Chicago. Tommy Brown hails from a family that loved and played all kinds of music. His mother was a Gospel singer and his father played the piano. He and his brothers formed a group and rehearsed in their parents basement. Later on, Brown formed another band that did shows all over Chicago and got great reviews from many newspapers. Back in the 80's, Brown's first single was the pick of the week on Chicago radio.
