Highlights from the London-based outfit's new catalogue will include:
SHARK BAIT: a reality comedy in which unsuspecting punters get hustled by the wiliest con-artists in town.
PLAYING STRAIGHT: a pink format that takes the genre away from dating, extending it in an entirely new, outrageous and unexpected way.
FIRST CONTACT: Yes, the aliens are coming. Really!
And VOULEZ-VOUS? No, not another ABBA tribute band, but a sensational new 15-part feature in which ordinary people meet challenges to live out their dreams.
With 6 headline-grabbing shows greenlit in as many months, Funky Formats has rapidly established a reputation for innovation.
Questioned on the secret of a successful TV format, Creative Director Richard Martin said: 'There are no rules. You have to think laterally ... you have to come up with something your audience didn't know they wanted to watch. Think rabbit, think headlights, think intelligently done.'
