March 25, 2004 (Press Release) --
Dallas Curtiss of Salt Lake City, UT thought winning a trip to the 2004 SuperBowl was prize enough, but now three TV’s and numerous party packs later this SuperBowl winner wishes his favorite team, the ‘Cowboys’ had a little of his SuperBowl winning luck.
Curtiss was notified January 7th by Coors Light he had won the ultimate 5-day/4-night trip for 2 to the game in Houston. Then one week later he received a call from Budweiser that he was selected as the Grand Prize winner of a ‘SuperBowl at Home’ party pack, complete with 32” TV, $500 grocery certificate and Merry Maid housecleaning service. The next day FedEx stopped by with news of another SuperBowl win this one complete with 32” TV, chairs, T-shirts and all the supplies necessary to throw his own party. As if that wasn't enough for even the biggest football fan the winning didn’t stop there, 3 days before he left for Houston he received a call from the local Coors Distributor with news of his winning yet another SuperBowl prize, this time a 42” TV. Curtiss claims, “ I had just planned to watch the game at home on my 27” screen and ended up front and center at the game and with more TV’s at home than I have places to put them”.
Curtiss has long been a sweepstakes hobbyist but even he admits winning this many SuperBowl Beer and TV sweepstakes surpassed his expectations. “Heck, I’d have been happy to win 1 of the TV’s but now I can say I was there and still have TV’s to spare”. Curtiss spends about 3-4 hours a week entering sweepstakes which he finds in stores and in Lucky Day Sweeps List, a contest newsletter he subscribes to. “I have 2 strategies for my luck”, Curtiss shared, “use a good sweepstakes newsletter and enter everything.”
Curtiss is proof that SuperBowl, Beer and TV really do go together. Dallas even joked, ”If the Cowboys want to go to the SuperBowl they may want to start entering sweepstakes.” Not bad advise from someone with more than his share of SuperBowl Wins.
