Huelix ScreenPlay creates Windows Media videos of screen animations, capturing entire screen, a particular application window, or a user selectable region of the desktop screen. The full motion video is encoded in real-time and may be broadcast live over an internet or the Internet, making it possible to broadcast live presentations. Even during a live broadcast, the video can be archived to a disk file, eliminating the need for additional repurposing of the content for archival. Compared to many similar programs, ScreenPlay creates full motion video, achieving several frames per second, depending on the chosen quality setting.
Huelix ScreenPlay sports an extremely simple, wizard-like interface, guiding the user with simple instructions. It also allows shortcuts at every stage of the wizard, doing away with redundant configuration screens and reducing the number of clicks to capture content. Selection of application windows and regions are completely graphical and simple to use, even for a novice user. Screen recoding is controlled entirely from the system notification area so as to avoid any interference with the application being captured. The software can also record audio from a microphone or other input and even from the speakers. You can even pause capture to create well thought out productions, with a voice over, for example. Used properly, this feature lets you create good quality productions that do not require time-consuming further edits.
To receive a screen video broadcast, all a client requires is Windows Media Player. The user opens the URL provided by Huelix ScreenPlay in Windows Media Player, and starts receiving streaming video. Depending on the host machine's capability up to fifty clients may connect to the host simultaneously.
