April 15, 2004 (Press Release) --
"Powerful, individualized coaching for courageous Executive Presences that choose to master change" ™
Effective and authentic day-to-day communication skills are essential for today's leader. The more hectic the leader's time, the more important it is to be more impactful in every communications moment. Individual Leadership Communication Development is focused on getting those results.
A U.C.L.A. study found that the impact we make on others (even people we know) in the first few minutes of contact is based on 60% visual, 33% vocal and 7% content. In time, content increases in importance, but is never more than 50% of the impact! Most of us are not aware of the 93% non-content portion of our communications. For the observer, perception is reality. Knowing how to manage perceptions is a critical leadership skill that needs to be continually improved.
"The better we get, the more high-powered feedback we need."
The Individual Leadership Communication Development Process™ (ILCD) has a Discovery Phase and an Integration Phase. The process is customized for each client to meet his or her needs. We have individually coached over 2,000 Executive Presences and professionals since 1986. There is enough structure in our process to provide high quality results with very effective and efficient use of the client’s time. We are selective in the clients we accept into the process. Once accepted, we are confident enough of our results that we offer a money back guarantee.
The Discovery Phase helps the client understand how they are perceived and what they can do to unlock their unique set of skills to be most effective. Setting measurable goals and realistic expectations are the basis for starting this phase. Various forms of feedback and evaluation are used to provide a clear understanding of the opportunities. Specific, usable knowledge and skills are developed to improve communications and leadership effectiveness.
The Integration Phase provides feedback and follow-up actions to reinforce desired objectives. We offer four levels of service customized to the needs and objectives of the client.
We include ongoing feedback and accountability, targeted coaching, telephone and email support, targeted learning materials (including books and tapes) in all levels of service. Some levels of service include “hands on” assistance with specific issues, processes and approaches to organizational change, media coaching, negotiations, and presentation development.
