Shaft Entertainment along with Paris Diamond have a strong commitment to the positive development of the youth in our community and feel that the best way to communicate information of a constructive nature is through a medium with which teenagers are most comfortable, a comic book. “What If……” featuring Paris Diamond does just that by giving the reader (ages 10 -17 yrs.) potential outcomes as well as the supporting statistics for making unfavorable decisions.

Paris Diamond. The multifaceted Long Island emcee who is guaranteed to keep critics and fans wondering if hip-hop is being resurrected through the children. A self-proclaimed ambitionist, Paris is the model combination of both God-given talent and determination. With over forty tracks recorded and a plethora of accomplishments in and out of the arts, he is by far the hottest young lyricist to grace the scene since the days of Nas and Illmatic.

“I love music. I’ve been rapping ever since I could speak and began writing when I was about nine. As soon as I discovered my writing skills, I wanted to combine and develop both into a musical form,” he explains.

And indeed it wasn’t long before this young teenager crafted his abilities into a clear path for success. The son of a singing/songwriting mother, and a father who spit a verse or two in his days, Paris’ musical passion and abilities were predestined in his blood. After developing his work, he hit the stage to let his voice resonate to the masses. Performing locally and recording constantly, this high school sophomore delivered a real life role model for his two younger sisters and peers to emulate. Citing Biggie, Nas, DMX, Tupac, and his parents as the most influential individuals in his childhood, he is quick to deliver a variety of knowledge to fans.

"I don't like to classify myself as any one type of emcee," says Paris. “I'm very versatile, and I can switch to whatever level you want me to be. I think people get tired of hearing about the same things - partying and cars. I like to talk about life, about reality just as much. That's why I don't want to be compared to anyone. Yeah I'm young, but when I come out I don't want people to say there's another young emcee, but rather there's a new artist; let's see what he has to say and how he says it."

After independently creating a name and buzz for himself, Paris caught the attention of the industry and more specifically of a well-established producer by the name of Shaft. A musical veteran in his own right, Shaft produced and worked with artists such as Black Rob, Total and G Dep in the past, and is placing the final touches on a song for Bad Boys' newest arrival - Loon. In addition to producing three songs for Lil’ Kim’s’ last album, he recently completed two other tracks for the Queen Bees’ ”La Bella Mafia” project.
