Rabbit Expo helps promote the care of rabbits as pets

(Free-Press-Release.com) April 24, 2004 -- Indiana House Rabbit Society (HRS) presents an educational program in conjunction with Humane Society of Indianapolis (HSI). The program is open to the public!



WHAT: Rabbit Expo

WHEN: May 8, 2004 10AM - 6PM

WHERE: 7929 North Michigan Road, Indianapolis

Interested in learning more about rabbits as indoor companion animals? Are you a current rabbit owner who would like to understand some of your rabbit's seemingly unusual behavior and care needs? There is no admission fee for this event and no charge for literature resources.



House Rabbit Society Educators and Volunteers will be on-site to answer questions and distribute literature on rabbit care. Education Stations with plenty of real-life examples will cover:



� Proper diet (pellets, hay, veggies)

� Common behavioral questions

� Litter

� Toys/Treats

� Veterinary Care

� Housing Set-Ups starring rabbits available for adoption through Humane Society of Indianapolis!

Indiana House Rabbit Society will have a bunny boutique with toys, books, and rabbit novelty items available for sale. All proceeds from the bunny boutique will benefit our foster rabbit veterinary fund.



A nail trim clinic will also be held; the public is welcome to bring in their house rabbit for a demonstration of three different nail trim techniques, during which we will assist you in trimming your rabbit's nails.
