April 28, 2004 (Press Release) --
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – April 28, 2004 – Speedera Networks Inc., a leading global provider of on-demand distributed application and content delivery services, today announced that it has recorded its fifteenth consecutive quarter of sequential revenue growth. The company has more than doubled its revenues from the same time period last year, and is profitable on a GAAP basis.
“The company recorded the highest quarterly revenue in its history for the quarter ending March 31, 2004,” said Ajit Gupta, President and CEO of Speedera. “Our revenue growth reflects strong acceptance of the distributed on-demand computing services model for a content delivery network as well as our commitment to the highest possible customer satisfaction. We are pleased that our most recent customer survey shows that our commitment to customer satisfaction is working as overall our customers say they are extremely satisfied with the quality, manageability, price/performance, and service level of Speedera’s offerings. Going forward, we expect the positive revenue trend to continue as we add more customers, channel partners, and services to our portfolio.”
In the fall of 2003, Speedera was ranked the No. 2 fastest growing private company in Silicon Valley, according to the San Jose/Silicon Valley Business Journal, as audited by PricewaterhouseCoopers. The company is currently on track to again rank amongst the leaders of this year’s list, Gupta said.
In today’s challenging economy, Gupta added, customers increasingly depend on Speedera’s globally distributed on-demand network computing services to optimize delivery of their Web content while improving site scalability, availability, security, and performance.
Speedera has been rapidly adding new customers in key vertical industries. Direct Response Technologies, Inc., one of the Internet’s leading providers of online media and technology solutions, recently selected Speedera to deliver its customers’ advertisements to consumers worldwide and to support its affiliate reporting and tracking tools. In addition, PriceMinister, France’s largest e-commerce site for selling previously owned goods (larger than both eBay and Amazon.com in the second-hand market in France) has chosen Speedera’s globally distributed on demand computing services to enable PriceMinister to provide customers with a fast and consistent Web experience.
