NOAH LEE NORMAN First Kemah Texas Police Chief Passed Away at Age 78

(Free-Press-Release.com) May 2, 2004 -- OBITUARY, Houston, Tx, Feb. 28, 2000 - Noah Lee Norman, 78, formerly of Marshall, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 27, 2000 at M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston after a 4-1/2 year battle with leukemia.



Lee was born June 24, 1921 in Lookout, West Virginia, and was a longtime resident of Galveston County until moving to Marshall. Lee served over 40 years as a law enforcement officer in the State of Texas. He was a retired rancher and owner of D&L Ranch in Marshall.

Lee is survived by his wife of 28 years, Dorothy Nell Oliver Hooker Cornish Norman of Kemah and League City; children Robert Lee Norman and wife Linda of Cairo, New York, James Clarence Norman and wife Paula of League City, William Joe Norman and wife Susanne of League City, Nancy Norman Hopkins and husband Neil of Dallas, Mary Ellen Norman of League City, Janet Lee Norman Brown and husband Randy of League City; brother Paul Leonard Norman of Webster, sister Lula Bell Nutter and husband Lyle Buck of Santa Fe; sister-in-laws Joan Routh Webb Norman of Marshall, Ossie Norman of Mobile, Alabama and Maxine Norman of League City; 16 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives.



Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 pm Tuesday, February 28, 2000 at Jack Funeral Home in League City. Funeral services will be led by

Reverend Hume at 2:00 pm Wednesday, March 1, 2000 at the funeral home. Burial and interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, Texas.
