May 5, 2004 (Press Release) --
HandEchart is the #1 selling handheld patient logging solutions for N.P. and P.A. students and has been designed to run on both the Palm and PocketPC OS.
The newest version, 4.0, has made HandEchart even easier to use. Improvements include versions for both the Palm and PocketPC platform, an all-new user interface and improved ICD9 and procedure databases.
What is HandEchart?
Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants must perform and observe extensive clinical procedures as part of their accreditation and must record those patient encounters. The traditional method of recording has been by paper which adds a lot of extra work for these students.
Using HandEchart NP and PA students can do away with this stack of paper and record encounters right on their Palm or PocketPC. Entering the information is very quick and, as a result, students are more likely to record the information right away. This increases the accuracy of the information and keeps the student from running into problems at the end of their clinical term.
Schools that offer NP and PA programs have benefited greatly with HandEchart as well. The information that is recorded by their students gives schools valuable statistics on patient demographics, procedure types and number of patients. Many schools are able to use this demographics information when applying for grants.
Also, transcribing from paper logs to a computer will often introduce inaccuracies and can be very costly if the school sees a significant volume of patients. Using HandEchart, schools will be able to do away with this costly frustration.
HandEchart is the answer to these concerns. HandEchart is easy to implement, easy to use and is inexpensive.
HandEchart is also the only product on the market that has combined the experience of a seasoned Physician Assistant educator with a veteran handheld software developer to produce a usable and stable software program. HandEchart was co-developed by Chris Helopoulos, MS, PA-C, and Associate Director of Clinical Education at Barry University's Physician Assistant Program, and DDH Software, Inc, makers of award winning software for the Palm and PocketPC.
Pricing:
·Student Version $49.99. This includes Palm or Pocket PC software, plus a copy of the HanDBase PC desktop.
·Director Version $69.99. This includes the same software as the Student Version, plus a conduit for Microsoft Access.
