The American flag has been stolen and used as a cry for war. Let’s use the American Peace flag as a cry for peace.
http://rainbowstop.com is going to donate $2.00 for each handmade peace flags we sell between now and June 30, 2004 to http://moveon.org. We believe in moveon.org's powerful message about health care, jobs, and to end the United States occupation in Iraq to name just a few.
At http://rainbowstop.com we make and sell a variety of handmade peace flags. Some of the flags designed by Naomi are the American peace flag, the Rainbow peace flag, blue peace flag, and a yellow flag with a peace dove holding an olive branch. Our 3x5 flags are made of cotton blends and or nylon. We have a sleeve on one end for inserting a pole. The edges are doubled stitched. The peace sign we use is the original peace sign from 1958 created for Nuclear Disarmament in England.
Naomi McClarrinon our flag designer said, “Each flag is made from my heart. I want to see a peace flag on every balcony, yard or car across this great land of ours. Let's unite for peace.”
Naomi made her first American peace flag after the 9/11 tragedy to show the need for peace. This flag was one that was inspired from the Vietnam anti-War rallies and marches right out of the 60s. She wanted to show her friends what she created and made a website through yahoo. Last spring a young man out of Georgia State University wanted a handmade American peace flag and searched the internet and found her site. He contacted her to see if she would make one for him. That got her thinking there might be a market for original handmade peace flags. She made him one just in time for one of his big marches. He emailed her back with rave reviews and said that he was going to embroider every protest he was in on the flag along with her name. He also ordered another one for a birthday present for his girlfriend. Naomi's flags have been sold across the country.
We are very proud of our handmade peace flags and believe this is a very good way to spread the word of peace throughout our beautiful country. We are helping moveon.org - please donate to a worthwhile cause!
